This beautiful sax was made in 1930 by Martin. It has the trademark beveled tone holes that made Martin famous. Freshly overhauled with all new pads, corks and felts. It has wonderful patina giving it a very nice vintage vibe.Looks like an antique but plays like a brand new horn.

This Indiana Band Instrument Company alto saxophone with serial number 15177 was manufactured around 1930, shortly after the company’s official start date of April 1, 1929.
History and Background
- Company Roots: The Indiana Band Instrument Company was incorporated in December 1928 by Bassett & Holtz as a subsidiary/student-line branch of the famous Martin Band Instrument Company in Elkhart, Indiana.
- Design: Early Indiana saxophones like this 1930 model were built by Martin workers using the older tooling and designs of Martin’s retired Handcraft Standard models.

- Playability (leaks, sticky keys, etc.) – 10 Has just been rebuilt, all new pads, corks and felts.
