The lacquer was chemically stripped to reveal the raw brass, which is already developing a gorgeous, unique patina that will continue to darken with use. Produced primarily between the 1930s and 1950s, these saxophones are valued by collectors and players for offering a classic vintage tone at a more accessible price point than professional models like the Conn “Chu Berry”.
