Key Specifications & Features
- Tip Opening: On modern and vintage charts, a 3* typically measures around .071″ to .080″ for alto and approximately .085″ for tenor. However, vintage Brilhart openings are notoriously inconsistent, often varying significantly from their stamped size.
- Chamber & Baffle: It features a medium chamber with straight side walls and a low/gradual rollover baffle. This design focuses the tone, providing a bright, resonant sound with significant “edge” and carrying power.
- Material: Made from durable injection-molded plastic (Ebolin), which maintains its jet-black color over decades unlike hard rubber models that may fade.
