Our service technician commented on how this sax feels heavier than other saxophones, so we put it on the scale. It weighs a whopping 6 pounds 13 ounces. To compare, we weighed a 1952 Martin alto and it came in at 5 pounds 4 ounces. One pound and 9 ounces heavier than the old Martin battle axe! Thicker brass, heavier mass, nicer sound and better quality. Near new, looks and plays amazingly. Includes sax, neck, mouthpeice, ligature and case.
